Genealogy, Technology, and Connections

Kenyatta Berry is the host of Genealogy Roadshow, a family history discovery series on PBS. Berry specializes in African-American genealogy.

After leaving a tech job in Silicon Valley, Berry began seeking to replace what technology had seemingly taken away from her: connections. So, Berry flipped the script and started finding ways to use the technology to forge and deepen connections.

Berry also pointed out that the use of technology in family history can help get younger generations more involved. When we talked to Berry at RootsTech 2018, she explained that it is important to teach the younger generations why these connections are important. Watch what she had to say:
