Healing and Family History: The Emotional Side of DNA

DNA kits have become much more affordable and easily accessible in the last few years. These tests have led to thousands of connections around the world. These connections and discoveries can break down brick walls in family histories and reveal new chapters of our family story. While these discoveries can be exciting and wonderful, sometimes they can also prove more difficult to navigate than expected.

In her RootsTech 2020 class, “Healing and Family History: The Emotional Side of DNA”, Robin Wirthlin walks us through good practices for navigating the difficult road of unexpected DNA results, difficult conversations and even heartache.
