The RootsTech London 2019 App Is Here!

We have some “app-solutely” fantastic news (yup, we went there). The RootsTech London App is now available! RootsTech London will take place October 24–26, 2019, at the ExCeL London. If you were wondering how you were going to keep track of over 150 classes, inspiring keynotes, and a thriving exhibition hall, the RootsTech London app is the answer and your one-stop shop for all things RootsTech. On the app you can create your own personalized schedule and search exhibitors, classes, and speakers. You can even add friends, chat, and share schedules with each other.

If you already have the 2019 version of the app installed on your device, this is how you can access the 2019 London content:

  1. Open the RootsTech app.
  2. From the home screen, tap on settings and scroll down to Exit to Conference List.
  3. Select RootsTech London 2019 to access the London content.

Let’s take a minute to take you through eight of the helpful features you’ll find on the app:

Create Your Own Schedule

Want to organize your own conference schedule so that you don’t miss a single minute of these amazing classes? We’ve got you covered. Simply tap on the Conference Schedule button on the home screen to bring up the conference schedule. You can check out our comprehensive list of classes for each day and choose the classes that matter most to you. Tap on each class to learn more information about the class, speaker, and location. To add a class to your own schedule, tap on the star.

View Your Personal Daily Schedule

Once you have visited the Conference Schedule, found all your favorites, and added them to your schedule, you can then visit the My Schedule button on the home page. Here you can look at your own organized schedule.

Speaker Information

Is there a speaker that you love? Or one you’ve been looking forward to all year and don’t want to miss? Well, fear not. You can tap on the Speakers button from the home page of the app to review a comprehensive list of speakers and the classes they teach.

Find Your Favorite Exhibitors

You won’t want to miss the amazing exhibitors in the exhibition hall. Tap on the Exhibitors button on the app home screen to see a list of exhibitors and learn more about each one.

Connect on Social

Whether you are attending the conference with friends or looking to find and meet up with new family and cousins at the conference, you can keep in touch and keep your finger on the pulse of the whole conference with the Social Media button. You can see social media shares from friends, official bloggers for RootsTech, and the official @RootsTechConf Twitter account.

Find Help with Getting around London

If it’s your first time in London, we’ve created a handy list of useful information and apps to help you get around this incredible city! Just tap on the Navigate London button on the home screen.

Access the RootsTech Blog

You can access the RootsTech blog all year long from the app. On the blog you can find posts about news, tools, and methods in genealogy, memories, DNA, and more. You will also find the latest news on RootsTech on the blog. You can find the blog by selecting Exit to Conference List. On the next page you will see the Blog icon at the bottom of the screen. Tap this button to see the blog within the app and get all the latest updates.

Save Notes

If you’re like me and take way too many notes, then you will love the note-taking feature! You can review your notes by tapping the My Notes button.

The fun can officially begin! If you’ve already downloaded the app, Tweet us any questions you have @RootsTechConf.
